Sarah’s Green Bay bungalow had charm and street appeal in spades, but inside, it told a different story. The generous section offered our team the perfect canvas to reimagine Sarah’s space with a thoughtful single level extension. We added two spacious bedrooms, a walk-in robe, and a luxurious ensuite to bring style and comfort. A dedicated laundry introduced much-needed practicality, while the small study was transformed into a cozy dining room, a warm, inviting space for family meals and entertaining friends.

One of the most challenging parts of the project was tying the extension into Sarah’s existing verandah, one of her (and our) favourite features. Alvin came up with the perfect detail that allowed for seamless integration, letting the new master bedroom flow onto the verandah, the perfect spot for a morning coffee.
During construction, Sarah saw the perfect opportunity to say goodbye to her home’s dark duck egg blue exterior. She chose a peaceful light gray, giving her home a fresh, modern look. While interior painting was part of our original scope, Sarah roped in her friends for a few fun painting weekends. This allowed her to reallocate the budget toward repainting her exterior, achieving a fully transformed home for the cost of the extension painting. Looking at the completed extension now, it’s hard to believe it wasn’t always there. From the timber joinery to the fretwork on the verandah, which had to be hand cut on-site to achieve an exact match, you really can’t tell where the old ends and the new begins.
